[tʃ-, Hindi] der, -s/-s, in der indischen Baukunst ein offener Pavillon, der aus einer Kuppel besteht, die auf einem hohen Sockel von mehreren Säulen getragen wird. Chattris markieren in Nordindien den Verbrennungsplatz eines hinduistischen Adeligen außerhalb der Altstadt.
